Die <strong>Verwunderung<\/strong> \u00fcber einige <strong>Ma\u00dfangaben<\/strong> kann mitunter gro\u00df sein, denn w\u00e4hrend heutzutage Kilogramm, Liter, Teel\u00f6ffel und Messerspitze gang und g\u00e4be sind, rechnete man zu Lebzeiten von Gro\u00dfmutter oder Urgro\u00dfmutter mit anderen Gewichten und Ma\u00dfen. Selbst die heutigen Rezeptangaben sind nicht immer eindeutig.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Tasse ist nicht gleich Tasse<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Oftmals ist die Rede von einer <strong>Tasse<\/strong> Mehl, einer Prise Salz oder einem Essl\u00f6ffel Butter. Fragt sich nur, wie gro\u00df soll die Tasse sein. Immerhin gibt es kleine Kaffeetassen, gro\u00dfe Teetassen oder Mokkatassen.<\/p>\n<p>Als Richtwert dienen derartige Ma\u00dfangaben sicherlich, aber f\u00fcr den individuellen Geschmack und das optimale Ergebnis seiner Kochk\u00fcnste entscheidet der <strong>Gaumen.<\/strong> Gl\u00fccklicherweise wurde vom 1834 gegr\u00fcndeten Deutschen Zollverein ein einheitliches Ma\u00df vorgegeben.<\/p>\n<h2>Dezimalsystem vereinfacht Ma\u00dfangaben<\/h2>\n<p>Das Messen im <strong>Dezimalsystem<\/strong> wurde kurze Zeit sp\u00e4ter eingef\u00fchrt. Das <strong>Pfund<\/strong> wurde auf <strong>500 Gramm<\/strong>, ein <strong>Zentner<\/strong> als <strong>50 Kilogramm<\/strong> festgelegt. In alten Kochb\u00fcchern finden sich dennoch alte Ma\u00dfangaben wieder.<\/p>\n<p>Ein N\u00f6sel Wein entspricht beispielsweise rund 500 Millilitern, eine Dresdner Kanne fasste 940 Milliliter. In der alten Kaiserstadt Speyer galten andere Ma\u00dfeinheiten. Ein Ohm entsprach beispielsweise zw\u00f6lf Vierteln, 60 Ma\u00df oder 240 Schoppen.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Tablespoon, Cup oder Ounce<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In <strong>englischsprachigen<\/strong> L\u00e4ndern werden in der K\u00fcche Ma\u00dfeinheiten, wie Tablespoon oder Cup verwendet. Ein Essl\u00f6ffel (Tablespoon) entspricht dabei 1\/16 einer Tasse (Cup). Eine Tasse wiederum entspricht dabei 2,84 dl (UK) oder 2,37 dl (US).
