Als Pluspunkt wird immer wieder der <strong>typische Grillgeschmack<\/strong> angef\u00fchrt, den das direkte Grillen verleiht. Am Ende ist es wohl doch Geschmackssache, f\u00fcr welche Methode man sich entscheidet. Anders als beim indirekten Grillen, wo das Grillgut durch die zirkulierende Hitze bei geschlossenem Deckel gart, liegen Fleisch und Wurst beim direkten Grillen \u00fcber der Glut.<\/p>\n<p>Die <strong>Hitze<\/strong> steigt nach oben, <strong>gart<\/strong> das Grillgut \u2013 wie der Name bereits sagt \u2013 <strong>direkt.<\/strong> Ein weiterer Unterschied zum indirekten Grillen: Das Grillgut wird \u201enur\u201c von der unteren Seite gegart und muss daher gewendet werden. F\u00fcr <strong>gro\u00dfe Fleischst\u00fccke<\/strong> mit langer Garzeit ist das direkte Grillen daher <strong>ungeeignet.<\/strong> Steaks, W\u00fcrste und Kurzgebratenes sollten allerdings kein Problem darstellen.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Direktes Grillen &amp; das Glutbett<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Wer sich f\u00fcr direktes Grillen entscheidet, muss den Grill nat\u00fcrlich <strong>anders vorbereiten<\/strong> als f\u00fcr die indirekte Grillmethode. Letztere lebt bekanntlich von der zirkulierenden Hitze, weshalb die Glut an den Seiten des Grills platziert wird. F\u00fcr die direkte Grillvariante muss die Glut dagegen <strong>fl\u00e4chig<\/strong> auf dem <strong>Ascherost<\/strong> verteilt werden.<\/p>\n<p>Kleiner Tipp: Um eine <strong>Warmhaltezone<\/strong> auf dem Grill zu schaffen, einfach eine mehrere Zentimeter breite Randzone <strong>\u201ekohlefrei\u201c<\/strong> halten. Die Restw\u00e4rme reicht aus, um fertige Steaks &amp; W\u00fcrste bis zum Verzehr warmzuhalten, ohne diese zu sehr austrocknen zu lassen.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Nachteile beim direkten Grillen<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Direkt Grillen wird hierzulande zehntausendfach praktiziert. Trotzdem \u2013 gegen\u00fcber dem indirekten Grillen bringt es einige <strong>Nachteile<\/strong> mit sich. Dazu geh\u00f6rt unter anderem, dass Glut und <strong>Grillgut<\/strong> dem Wind <strong>ungesch\u00fctzt<\/strong> ausgesetzt sind.
