Und der Gedanke, wer dieses St\u00fcck Fleisch essen soll. In unserer kleinen Steakkunde nimmt diesmal etwas ganz Besonderes Platz &#8211; das Tomahawk-Steak. Wer sich dieses Steak zum ersten Mal bestellt, ist \u00fcberrascht, was am Ende auf dem Teller landet. Anders als viele Steakvariationen, die wir hier bisher vorgestellt haben, ist das charakteristische Merkmal eines\u00a0Tomahawks der lange Rippenknochen. Durch diesen bekommt es nicht nur seine beeindruckenden Dimensionen. Der Knochen geh\u00f6rt einfach zum Flair eines echten Tomahawk-Steaks.<\/p>\n<h2>Tomahawk-Steak &#8211; hier isst das Auge mit<\/h2>\n<p>Liebt Ihr Steaks vom Grill? Dann wird das Tomahawk-Steak bestimmt begeistern. Schlie\u00dflich handelt es sich hier um ein sogenanntes \u201ebone-in rib steak\u201c. \u00dcbrigens ein Hinweis auf die Herkunft des Ganzen. Das Fleischst\u00fcck kommt aus der Hochrippe und sitzt ungef\u00e4hr im Bereich der 6. &#8211; 12. Rippe. Damit entspricht es &#8211; zumindest im Hinblick auf den Fleischanteil &#8211; einem Rib-Eye.<\/p>\n<p>Der hohe Fleischanteil und die feine Marmorierung machen das Fleisch saftig und verleihen dem Ganzen ein angenehmes Eigenaroma. Zum echten Highlight wird das Steak aber unweigerlich durch den langen Rippenknochen. Und der diesem besonderen Gaumenschmaus die au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Form verleiht. Was sollte man zum Tomahawk-Steak noch wissen?<\/p>\n<h2>Grillen &#8211; nat\u00fcrlich am Knochen<\/h2>\n<p>Je nach Rinderrasse kann der Eigengeschmack variieren. Beim Grillen kommt das Steak eigentlich mit Salz und Pfeffer aus. Den Grill heizt Ihr am besten so vor, dass direkt und indirekt gegrillt werden kann. Direkt nutzt Ihr die Hitze zum scharfen Anbraten. Und nachdem sich eine sch\u00f6ne Kruste gebildet hat, kommt das Fleisch auf die indirekte Hitze und wird hier bis kurz vor die gew\u00fcnschte Gartemperatur gezogen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00dcbrigens<\/strong>: Reicht der Platz durch den langen Knochen nicht ganz aus, d\u00fcrft Ihr diesen etwas eink\u00fcrzen. Ein St\u00fcck sollte aber in jedem Fall noch zu sehen sein. Und serviert wird das Tomahawk-Steak einfach mit einem leckeren Avocado- und BBQ-Dip.
