Das sollte man nicht untersch\u00e4tzen, denn Piri Piri Sauce ist in der Regel <strong>ziemlich scharf<\/strong>. Das liegt an den scharfen Chilis, die bei der Zubereitung verwendet werden. Zu verdanken haben wir Piri Piri portugiesischen H\u00e4ndlern, die die scharfen Schoten der Birdeye-Chili in die afrikanischen Kolonien brachten. Dort werden sie heute angebaut und unter anderem f\u00fcr Gew\u00fcrze und Piri Piri Sauce verwendet. Unter dem Begriff versteht man heutzutage jedoch nicht mehr nur diese Chilisorte, sondern scharfe Chilis im Allgemeinen. In der portugiesischen K\u00fcche wird Piri Piri sehr h\u00e4ufig verwendet, um Gerichten jeder Art etwas Sch\u00e4rfe zu verleihen. Hierzulande kennen wir sie meist als Verwendung in einer Sauce.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Piri Piri Sauce: 1001 Rezept<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Ein einzig wahres Rezept f\u00fcr Piri Piri Sauce existiert nicht. Die Grundzutaten, die darin jedoch keinesfalls fehlen sollten, sind: <strong>Chilischoten, Zitronensaft, Oliven\u00f6l und Paprika<\/strong>. Zum W\u00fcrzen k\u00f6nnen Gew\u00fcrze wie Salz, Pfeffer und Lorbeerbl\u00e4tter verwendet werden, aber auch Estragon oder Nelke wird in bestimmten Regionen zur Zubereitung der Sauce verwendet.
